Description

Our First Nations existed here long before European settlement. They had and still have today a very special relationship with the environment. Chief Top Leaf will help you discover the knowledge and values the aboriginal community has toward water.

Expectations

Heritage and Citizenship, Grade 3 (Pioneer Life)

  • Identify the contributions of aboriginal peoples to early settlement
  • identify the Aboriginal Peoples located in Upper Canada at the time of first settlement 
  • collect and evaluate information about human and 
environment interactions during the early settlement period

Heritage and Citizenship, Grade 5 (Aboriginal Peoples)

  • relationship between Aboriginal Peoples and their environment
